Description of the competition:
The competition is team competition and is carried out in different age. Each team consists of 2 divers (men, women or mixed) Each diver from the team must show 3 dives per 1m and 3m springboard. Repeating a dive from a different height even in another modality is not possible! In addition each team shows a certain number of synchronic dives from the 1m springboard (in this case repeating a dive from the single dive program is allowed). The distinctions for the particular age groups are documented in the listing of the events. • Each diver has the possibility to declare one of his or her single dive to be a wild card dive. The attained points for this dive will be doubled. • The wild card dive will be determined during the event through the diver himself. The diver announces the wild card dive through ringing a bell which will be mounted at the springboard before he begins the dive. • If the diver does not use this possibility during his single dives then the last single dive will automatically be counted as the wild card dive. The final team points result in the addition of the single dives including the wild card dive and the points from the synchronic dives. In addition there will be an awarding for the best visiting club. In this award all points from all age groups will be added together. 5th International Mainz Diving Cup 2012
