Meeting Time for Monday: What to Wear: Comfortable clothing (shorts, tennis shoes, etc.) What to Bring on Monday: • Sun Protection (hat, sun visor, sunglasses, sun screen) • Water bottle. • Lunch, snacks, and any drinks you need for Monday. • You may also bring a laptop computer (but it is not necessary). Finalized Cruise Schedule: You will receive (via email) a finalized cruise schedule (for Tuesday through Thursday) prior to the workshop if it is available. Hard copies will also be distributed and discussed on (first day and date for the workshop) WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.DAY TWO.RESEARCH CRUISE. Meeting Place for Tuesday: Meeting Time for Tuesday: What to Wear: Comfortable clothing (shorts, tennis shoes, etc.) Agenda: We will be spending part of the day helping load the ship for departure. According to the tentative schedule, we will have a (dinner) break between ship loading and ship departure. It is important that you promptly return from this break for ship loading. Food: During the cruise, food and drinks are provided. Prior to the cruise, you will be responsible for your own meals. If you would like to bring any additional snacks or drinks for the cruise you may do so (in limited quantities). Weather: Conditions may change rapidly. It is generally hot on deck, and cool below deck. Please bring appropriate clothing, so you will be comfortable and protected from the sun. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING FOR THE RESEARCH CRUISE (TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY): Necessities • Change of clothes and something to sleep in-Space is limited aboard ship, so
• Closed toed shoes (deck shoes, tennis shoes, etc.)-Closed toed shoes are
required on deck. Sandals may be worn below.
• Sun screen, beach towel, hat or visor• Toiletries and personal items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)• Medications-prescription meds• Sense of adventure!
Optional items • Swim suit-We will probably break for a swim call on Wednesday. • Snorkel equipment- If you have gear, we may use it during the swim call. • Rain gear-Weather may change quickly. • Sea sick medication (such as Dramamine, etc.) • Comfort items-water bottle, pillow (All linens are provided including pillows,
but you may want to bring your own pillow or an extra blanket.)
